Mindfulness often brings up other aspects of our lives which don’t feel quite right for us, so I have also trained in several counselling and therapy disciplines to supplement the mindfulness work and allow extra depth or exploration of specific areas. I do not claim to be a ‘counsellor’ but I do have training and experience in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred counselling, hypnotherapy and pastoral counselling. This means I can:

  • Provide short, sharp, solution-focused single therapy sessions to work on specific issues or teach skills. These can range from a half-hour up to three hours.
  • Create programmes of predetermined length, such as the traditional six, one-hour CBT sessions or 8-week mindfulness programmes. These can be delivered individually or you can join a group session.
  • Provide assistance working with ongoing issues or deep-seated perspectives related to how we view and experience the world that need a more flexible, understanding approach.

I’ve explained more my approach to support in the My Personal Approach to Support page.

I also offer some free, short drop-in mindfulness sessions of around 15 minutes, to introduce the topic and give you some breathing space to help you live your life. If you’re interested in one of these, fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page and I’ll let you know when they are.

My schedule of fees and session types can be found here Programmes and Fees

Although I am a general mindfulness meditation teacher, I do have some particular areas of specialist interest including:

  • Highly Sensitive Persons and Empaths.
  • Gifted Adults.
  • Pain, discomfort and weight management. Mindfulness can be particularly beneficial in helping us to live with pain or accepting physical limitations or discomfort.
  • Issues arising from childhood. Many of us had less than idyllic childhoods where there was no abuse or major trauma but we are still left with a legacy that we take into adulthood, e.g. bullying, parental separation, living with alcoholic parents, etc.
  • Group Training Sessions. Many organisations can see the value of mindfulness and wellbeing and want to introduce their staff to this skill.

As a licensed Mindfulness Now teacher I adhere to their ethical standards and code of practise together with that of the BACP Ethical FrameworkMindfulness Now Logo (although I’m not a member). I also undertake regular CPD and supervision.

If you’d like to find out if I can help, please complete the form below with how you prefer to be contacted and I’ll be in touch shortly.
